Turning Point has the social responsibility to respond to the needs of domestic violence victims by providing shelter, counseling, advocacy and general support services and to identify and confront the causes of domestic violence.We have created the Purple Ribbon Society to recognize those that support one or more of our families.

The 34 new books are from the late Marion Altrusan Margaret “Peggy” Lee, and through her kindness and generosity, requested that Altrusa of Marion provide the books to a worthy cause, and the Altrusans chose children residing short-term at Turning Point as the recipients. The staff will provide hamburgers, hot dogs, and a dessert table where attendees can “vote” for their favorite dessert by giving a monetary donation. In addition, Turning Point will also have their Clothesline Project on display throughout the month of October. The Clothesline Project is a powerful display of t-shirts decorated by past and present residents of Turning Point.
